Had a wonderful visit to the garden centre yesterday. There were no paper white bulbs available. I asked the first assistant I saw - near the clothing section and she directed me to Tim. What an excellent experience - he agreed there were no bulbs and then instead found some small shooing plants. He explained (very well) how to replant these into my glass container. He is a credit to you as were the ladies in the clothing section. The server at the canteen however, an older lady, was abrupt, miserable and off hand. Nice scone though.less
Visited today (27th Oct) as a family of 4 for a short coffee break between 2.30-3pm. The restaurant was not busy and we did not have to queue. The lady serving at the restaurant was incredibly rude from the start of our service to the end. I’m unsure why as we didn’t have any special requests or a difficult order - perhaps she had been having a bad day? The coffee was okay and the kids hot chocolates were nice. The tea was practically thrown at my partner by cafe staff. We didn’t spend long in the cafe and I assume that it wasn’t busy due to customer service. Again on leaving the store, staff at the tills didn’t say bye despite not being busy and I heard another member of staff shouting at a male who wasn’t sure where the exit was. I would avoid this place and head to Notcutts instead - it’s only 10 minutes away and our visit there the previous day was far more enjoyable.less
First but not last visit. Easy to find and park. Plenty of gorgeous gifts and some fair prices amongst them. The store is spacious and airy. The cafe is clean with tasty fayre but the staff are rather on the cool sideless
We went for lunch at this garden centre yesterday, I must say it was awful, maybe they had no chef yesterday? very little menu choice yesterday too. I had jacket potato with cheese and beans which was microwaved to a mush... unacceptable . why was the menu so small and why was there just one jacket potato left and very little else. I except to be offered free lunches for us both if we come again. or send me a voucher.less
